How does AMD effect your Vision?
February 27, 2009 · Filed Under FAQs
During early stages of AMD, you may not notice changes in vision, however as cells deteriorate your vision will be impaired. A small patch of blindness may block out several words at reading distance and lines may become distorted.
Late stage AMD is a very frustrating time as this condition will now affect day to day life causing difficulty in writing, driving and recognising facial features as central vision is significantly effected. As a reasonable amount of peripheral vision remains, people can still maintain their own life without too much external aid.
