What Occurs in AMD?
Layers of the retina receive the external light and converts the light in to images which it then sends to the brain, but it has another responsibility to nourish and takes away any waste products from the macula’s light sensitvie rod and cone cells. The macula cells become damaged, which is responsible for your central vision, usually due to what the retina is sending the macula.
